San Francisco Solar Map

The San Francisco Solar Map is a mashup of Google Maps with information about installed photovoltaic solar panels in San Francisco, and allows you to identify a property and see how much energy could potentially be generated by putting PV on the roof. On the map, icons represent installed PV and related projects. If you enter an address in the "What Can Solar Do For You?" area, you will see the satellite image of the location with an analysis of the roof area and the potential for solar. By mousing over circles, you can usually see the size and installer of existing panels.

The map is a creation of the City of San Francisco and was developed by CH2M Hill, which is working with U.S. Department of Energy to promote solar energy adoption in American cities.
