The GreensThis open online community provides a forum for architects, construction companies, suppliers and home builders to meet and discuss eco-friendly techniques and products for building homes. The online community provides a blog for you to write your own entries or make comments on what others post. To make your own posts, you must obtain a membership. Please contact us for access. You don't have to actively be building a home to qualify. Anyone with an interest in this kind of construction is welcome. Content is categorized by geographical area, so that you can easily find people and services for your area. On the HorizonOn the Horizon provides links each business day to three top news stories about developments in environmental research and advanced techniques that allow our community to stay abreast of events in the green technology world. We endeavor to provide quality over quantity, so that you don't have to spend your entire day keeping up on green news. Home SamplesHome Samples is the Green Making "housing collection", a set of links to online articles and websites about homes that embody green building principles in whole or in part. Homes are categorized by their geographical area, using standard statistical areas where possible (see "Geographical Areas" below). Use your browser's "search in page" feature to find listings for your area or scan down to the heading that applies. Knowledge BaseThe Knowledge Base is a wiki for green information. This is a collecting point for useful information, and you are welcome to help add your own facts. A wiki is designed as an open, online space where any member can add or alter the information. Please contact us for access. Green TVThis link to the Green Professionals website offers a selection of online videos on green news, as well as other information for green professionals. We select and read the books so you don't have to. Each book is reviewed with the purpose of deciding how it will be useful to constructing better homes. We give you a complete list of the table of contents, a summary of the book's organization, its possible uses, and a summary of its advantages and any limitations.
