We have plans to improve the Green Making website over time, and we would like to keep you "in the loop" on those changes. Here are the current plans for changes to the site. The current site is "Rev 0", designed to help us attract and serve a core group of interested parties in the Silicon Valley area. In order to get the site up and running quickly, we only included very basic features, such as blogs and a news feed. We expect this site to be rapidly replaced with "Rev 1", a site with more localization features and more social networking features, such as facilities to permit more direct interaction between participants. Following that, we will move to "Rev 2", a site we expect to allow you to interact online much as you would in person. One of the goals of this site is to make it possible for you to conveniently find and interact with other people in your geographical location who are interested in green homes. We intend to bring together the people who want to build or remodel and either live in or sell these homes with the professionals they need--architects, engineers, construction companies, material suppliers, subcontractors, real estate agents and other professionals. To do that, the site will provide the means for you to signal your geographical location and then default all information to the resources that apply to your area. However, we also want to make it convenient to look beyond your immediate area to find additional resources. We expect "Rev 0" to provide the means to do this. We would like to find out what features you think would be the most helpful to you. One of the greenest things you can do is to forgo a physical trip and communicate online.
